People often overstate the effect the Government in power has over the economy, business and social affairs.

IMO it barely makes any difference the Government that is in power over such issues...

I think most people would agree that Bush is very conservative.

And historically, underground movements do tend to be fostered under conservative governments.

I dont think Manson was saying that it HOW it's going to be. He was more saying that he HOPED the ongoing presence of a conservative government would fuel these movements and make kids start rebelling.

I guess you've never been to Macroeconomics. Sure government can't control the economy, but they know that there are certain things that they can do to either stimulate it or retard it.

I didn't bother to read the article but any adminstration influences busines practices but enforcing federal law and regulations. If bush permits greater consolidation among the media companies (radio, record companies, and technology companies) this may hinder innovation, and this may hinder the music industry blagh blah...i have to go.

But yes Bush may hurt innovative music.
