Interesting you mention the Zerg and the Protoss, it's what I think of too when I think Aliens Vs Predators... however, I disagree that the Zergs (or Aliens) would win, if nothing else, because the Predator (or Protoss) IS a superior technology, they use weapons (them blue lazers, camouflage, radar, etc... not to mention the self-destruct mechanism -- extremely effective against swarming) while the Aliens (much like the zerg) basically rely on hand to hand combat, with only their "natural" resources (spitting acid blood, claws, etc.). 1 vs 1 I dont think an alien would stand a chance.
I know this is really off topic, but a comment about the Zerg: they only win 'cause that bitch uses everyone else to do the dirty work for her and then she backstabs 'em. That pissed the hell out of me in Starcraft: Brood Wars  (you can tell i still hold a grudge, huh?  ) I know that game is like VERY old but you just reminded me of the whole thing...
