I prefer working with software. So for me its Poco all the way! I just recently sold my indigo II and now im waiting for the virusplugin to arrive.

As somebody mentioned above, dont just look at the synth perspective.. with the powercore you get a whole lot of VERY GOOD fx plugins that is very useful.

and goddamn its nice to have it all in the computer.. i dont like to work with hardware! but thats just my personal oppinion

the plugins are ok.. if you want to be completly legit, it's a good way to get some good cheap plugins... but waves can do the same job for *caugh*free*caugh*...

yeah, working with the software is nice.. but having the knobs is fun too... it looks really cool... that's what's awesome about the Virus TI line.. best of both worlds...

but believe me, the only reason I'm selling my powercore is becuase the price is going to go down the shitter once the TI comes out since the TI is VST integratable as well... plus it costs so damn much... I would rather invest in a $500 jp8000 than a $1000 Virus since I only produce maybe 5 hours a week...

Im also selling my jp8080 cause imo its so damn THIN, boring and limited synth. You cant do shit with it really.. yea.. Most people buy if for the supersawsound but many synths today emulate that sound very good so you dont need to buy a JP just for that sound.

I guess it comes down to personal taste and oppinions. I wouldn't buy the Virus TI either cause i know im not going to use it as much as i should.

Software! and believe me i have been somewhat an Anti-software guy before, but thats changed now when access released the virusplugin.

its the person using the instrument thats important in making the sound, not so much the instrument itself. a good musician and producer can make a technically flawed instrument sound good. ive heard enough unbelievably good stuff from a jp to make me inclined to believe it deserves its place in history (despite having never played on one), but im not one to really talk about hardware synths cuz all the ones i want are waaaaaay out of my price range. for now ill stick to my 60 quid vanguard. best money i ever spent. mwaha!
