hahah.. true... that's the problem with punk these days...

back in the day, you had punk bands writing about real problems that they faced. alcoholism, discrimination, homelessness and other social problems. these days, punk bands are made up of suburban white kids, whose only real problems are that they were losers in high school and couldn't get laid. boo fucking hoo.. lets write a song about it.

obviously this does not apply all new school bands... but...

sometimes emo can be good though... look at weezer... they're nerdy losers who sing about girls.. but it never sounds whiny. they rock... plus, they KNOW they're nerds and embrace it.
