i think they were looking at the guerilla tactics of the Algerians rather than the tactics of the French army, however the theme of torture was brought up in the film as well.. The French army using torture to find out information played a pivotal role in the movie..


im just wondering what exactly the US is learnng from this film, how to torture prisoners to find out what they want, or how to learn what the guerilla's tactics are...
