Blah blah blah. Did I say one person genius? Learn to read. There is an entire thread in my local forum of people saying the same damn thing. I forgot that things need to be spelled out to you.

The music wasn't crap. That is a fact. The mixing was on...transitions were like a piece of art. God forbid someone say something positive about a DJ on these forums.

I know I know..but the stats speak for it self.. so play what sells.. of course for many not listening to cheese or commercial hits kinda means you are real hardcore.. not a lollipop novice like so many others.. so we talk about non commercial tracks and less cheese tracks which you wont hear on some cheesy remix cd... but that doesnt mean he is a bad Dj.. becuase the fact is.. tiesto is number one becuase he is THAT GOOD! he might be abit of a sell out now.. but most of the top djs do sell out as do all stars... hip hop etc.... they turn commercial and start to play radio hits and get sloppy.. BUT!! the fact is.. if tiesto wanted to HE could do a set that would blow all the djs away and have us all dancing like freaks and then at the end of it we will be saying OH MY GOD!! please someone pick up my jaw it just hit the floor.. if he wanted too.. becuase he is that good! he has the talent and the skills.., its just that he is not really using them so often on the decks for the likes of us trance junkies he spends lot of time in the studio making the commercial cheese that will go number 1 all over europe and make him millions.. but hey.., thats no reason to be dissing him.. the guy can mix.. and we all know this.. anyway thanks for listening.. thats all I have to say about tiesto.. Better don't mention it, most of the guys here are gay, they love it but don't tell it. They are so ugly that even George Micheal don't want to fuck them. The only thing they can do is complain, but the only reason why they do that is because of themselves. Sad...

I understand what you are saying and I'm not trying to attack you, but the comment about the people of the world not being stupid isn't really right, in one sense at least.

Sure the average person can hear a set and enjoy the tracks and probably even spot a trainwreck. However, the average person doesn't hear minor beatmatch errors or poor technical mixing. The average EDM listener has an underdeveloped ear. I know, because I did until I started to spin myself. Now I hear the flaws, mainly because I've gone through a process of trying to better myself as a dj. By no means am I saying that I don't miss a beat here and there, but Tiesto is very unskilled technically, especially considering the amount of time he has been doing it for. He used to be my favorite and I didn't notice the mistakes. Now I've seen him a few times in the last 2-3 years and I hear all of the errors. Plain and simply, he is not a good technical dj. He does have great tracks and knows how to program and control energy. That is very important too. Probably more important to the masses. I just expect a dj to be more consistent and have some fluidity. He lacks both of those.

Cant stand geeky music fans whom always go on bout the lesser known or underdog dj's too much, shut up and face it that your fav dj is NOT better than tiesto.

im not dissrespecting underdog dj's, i do actually like them.

I for one don't like the music he plays and I also think there are far more talented dj's out there who haven't had half the recognition tiesto has (some of those dj's who have been doing it since the late 70's early 80's).

I think he plays the most commercial music out there, thus appealing to the mass audience - who lets face it are not all clued up on the dance music scene (and b4 any of tiesto fans take offence I don't mean all of his fans) - thus securing the majority vote.

I also hate the fact that the moment he's criticised (fairly I might add) you get all his clued up fans ryhming off mixes he pulled off back in 2001 - well 1 out of 50 ain't bad - I'm also fed up of constant tiesto threads for every little thing about him. ie - this one. If you think he's being critisised unfairly then why not reply to the threads instead of cluttering up the board with more shite about him which is inevitably going to have more tieto bashing in it.
