haha weird thread, but it got me thinking anyways...
My first MP3 downloads were all Nine Inch Nails, as at the time the unofficial NIN website was hosting ALL of their tracks. haha (hard to imagine that today) I remember reading the FAQ saying "what is an MP3", and I was so intrigued.
I ended up getting every single nin track ever (which I already owned on CD anyways) only to find that the record company finally got wind of the website and shut it down. What year? hmm probably around 96-97.
