saw this on the news last night, has she actually been appointed because it said she was "the front runner" last night. if she has, why? she has shown how much of a cock-up she can make of intelligence reports, how is she going to cock up the state now? no puns intended.

as far as reports say, colin powell left on his own accord. he is nearly 68, he should be retiring, although i do think its a shame as he was probably one of the most level headed of the current US government. i do have a feeling he was probably pushed a bit though, apparently there was a little bit of an argument between him and rumsfelt (sp?).
