When Firefox 1.0 came out i tried downloading the thing for hours, i finally downloaded it and it was not what i expected! I must say i would rather use IE than Firefox, not that i think FF is shite i jus like IE much better.

But i must say after seeing your post taltul i think i may try out Avant again, i used this about 2 years ago and thought it was excellent but got rid when my pc messed up.

Think ill try Avant again

firefox is great. anything that originates from IE code is a s ecurity risk (avant). firefox is good because it is so customisable. the tabbed browsing is fantastic, and it doesn't remove the url you just spent time typing if the page cannot be found, nor does it take you to the most useless search on the planet.

it removes the issue of activeX security, it helps in the fight against spyware as most spyware is written to hijack IE, not firefox. plus it has an integrated pop-up blocker which is fantastic. it doesn't let websites install software unless you allow it, unlike IE.

the skins which are available are great, and there are shitloads of cool plugins to get. the fact you can press your middle button (or wheel) to open a link in a new tab is great. to copy the url of a picture from a website you just righ-click and "copy image location" instead of opening the properties page. the integrated download manager ACTUALLY WORKS, and is not toss like the IE one.

it handles bandwidth better, it loads website quicker and for that matter correctly, unlike IE which reads HTML in its own spasticated way. the history actually deletes when you tell it to delete, instead of pretending to delete then respawning itself a minute later. plus firefox has a recent pages menu (labelled "go") so you dont have to go into your history to remember what site it was that you were on 10 minutes ago.

and to put the icing on the cake, the random running dog gif looks wicked in firefox. its a dog on speed!

need any more reasons?
