Hi All. Well we survived the earthquake. We were in Arenal at the time of the quake which was a fair distance from the epicentre but the force felt was still pretty unreal. I awoke from a deep sleep with our cabin walls shaking and the bed moving around the room (insert lude comment here ) Mossey stirred slighty but when I said "I think that was an earthquake" he rolled over and said "nah" and fell back to sleep. Nothing really wakes that boy from a good slumber.

I will be seeing most of you on Friday at System so I can share some of the cool stories personally with you then. I do have to mention that Costa Rica is an unbelievable country. There is more to see in this small paradise than one could ever hope to take in in only 10 days. So many fantastic experiences to tell you abou... from Howler Monkeys sleeping only feet away from me in the jungle wettlands (and I don't mean my furry Mossey), soaking in the natural hotsprings from the volcano in the highlands and the breathtaking ocean views from the hot and dry Pacific coast. It is hard to believe it is all contained within one country. The Costa Rican locals were all extremely friendly, generous, kind and honest. Their love for life and the simple things was truly inspiring. This was definitely the trip of a lifetime and I can't wait to share the pictures and stories with you all.

Inkster, thanks for worrying about us Also, the bugs were no problem. I think all of the warnings are for those people who are coming from countries who have never experienced real mosquitoes. The jungle insects were nothing compared to our Muskoka biting beasts.

I still have 2 days of vacation left at home so I think I will leave the rest of the tales for Friday and get back to doing nothing! I may even keep my jimmy jams on all day today. Hooray for holidays.

see you on all on friday.

happy bday Em!

ps: I forgot to mention -DEEP DISH's FLASHDANCE is indeed the most over played track ...It was part of ENROUTE radio on our AIR CAN FLIGHT. Song 9 on Channel 8, sandwiched between Brandy and MC MARIO. sigh.
