I have heard from reliable sources that between 1999-2001 the very top DJs like Sasha, Digweed, Tiesto, Van Dyk, Cox and Oakenfold made over £1,000,000 each year. Carl Cox got paid $1 million for 2 gigs on 31/12/1999 and Sasha got paid $600,000 on the same night. Since the dance music depression this figure has dropped but the very top DJs still make over £750,000 per year.

The next level - people like Zabiela/Kleinenberg/Cattaneo probably make about £150,000 to £250,000 annually.

Lesser but still well known DJs like Zinc and Craig Richards make a living but probably do not get more than about £50,000 a year.

So yes Tiesto and Oakenfold are multi millionaires but nothing like as rich as the likes of Madonna or David Beckham etc.
