What? Reason doesn't support VSTi you say? Last I checked, neither do JP 8080s, Juno 106s, Tb303s, TR909s. Crap man, you can't record audio on that stuff either. I ain't buyin' it.
Seriously, though, I think Reason is a great program. It is NOT a sequencer, it is NOT competition for logic or protools or cubase...it is a program that, as they say, is meant to replace a hardware studio. It's great because, not being open to plugins, the thing is rock solid. An analogy: if you live in a cave, you might not have any friends, but no one will eat the last of the chocolate cake. No one will get into your stuff, or wear your bathrobe. Also, Reason is great for beginners. If you decide that, after learning a good bit about production, you need midi out or better mastering or etc, you can save up yr pennies and get one of the aforementioned sequencers. Bottom line is that Reason is it's own thing. They don't expect EVERYONE to like it. Lot's of people hate it. Bottom line is, if you read about Reason and decide it doesn't have features that you need, don't buy it. I don't complain about he price of a new car "that can't even fly or travel through time or go 900 billion miles per hour." You can't try to force something to be something else, you just ignore it if it isn't what you want. Sorry this post is so long,
