yes they are very similar, but it looks like they have included a big pitch fader, and made the pitch knob the ultrapitch control (much better than the original ultrapitch in my books).

also looks like a 120mm pitch fader? or is it just my eyes? if so, technics can eat their own shit if they include that on a future stand-alone turntable

yet another interesting design by vestax

it looks cool..

i agree with the left deck issue, plus i dont care for a str8 arm

good design, another one that id like to try out and see just how bad/good it handles...

dont think id ever buy it though...

Yea, thats one thing I would like to see on decks now, an extended pitch fader that goes to either 10 or 12%, not keep it the same size and cram more percent in, because then it becomes less accurate.

It would be sweet for beat juggling...The way both of the arms are out of the way.

UPDATE on this console thingy magijjy, the tonearm on the left deck does not play with the record pushing onto the styli, instead the tonearm turns right across the deck and plays like a regular table, just like there QFO table, its just in that position for when your not using that table.

That would look really weird though I have to say, one deck being battle style, and the other being regular.

I would imagine that Vestax new better. And just because it's the logical way for the cartridge to rest, it doesn't mean that it plays that way. It may still be put on the regular way. (I don't actually know this, just playing devil's advocate).

There may be a market for this sort of set up although I admit not a very big one. Pre club bars and such who need an easy storage solution. This might not be such a bad idea in those cases.

Must admit I don't like it though.

Cheers
Nem

you are coprrect, as dannyO stated above the tonearm swings right around to lie vertical as opposed to horizontal along the top.

i think all this is so that the design guys arn't sat on their arses being smug.. they have to be paid for something lol
