LOL at hip hoppy
i think samples are what you make of them, how u use them. You can make a kick ass techno track using a hip hop drumkit.
Otherwise chop up a vocal sample or sumpin or stretch it and apply 25 effects.

well.. i bet your all trying ot figure out where you can get acapellas on RECORD rather than cd =)
heres the deal.
htfr.com has a ton of them for sale, but they don't offer audio samples and the track listing isnt very helpful and iv heard complaints aobut htfr (although i like em)
the good news is i've seen them at my local record store in nyc. never given them much listen as i never have enough $ to buy the records i want in the first place.. but call up dennis at decadance NYC, 212-477-9523, tell him to play u some acapellas he has or if he doesnt have any tell him what kind u want and he'll order em (takes him a day to get his records), and then call his ass back and have him play em for u. u could prob find em elsewhere but atleast if u harass dennis for a bit im pretty sure he'll play it for you
