It's on the southern side of the moon. Oh, and you can see it too! I just don't see how you can pay for any event $4000... Unless you gained at least 10x that. So, if you're a small business and you take out a big boss of some corporation to the baseball game and shell out $4000 for his tickets and he then gives you a contract worth $10000000 - yea, go for it... otherwise, you're a daft (unt..

i guess so . i know people that spend $250 on jeans, i really dont see the problem.

I'm not even going into discussion how (american) football (not soccer) tickets that sell for $85 be legally sold by a reseller for $499... 'coz that's a different story alltogether.

how much do u think box seats go for a play off game?

the more money you have the more money you'll be willing to spend to have a good time.

I dunno... maybe I'm behind times. I just don't see how a reasonable person can shell out $300 (well, if we factor in the service charge and parking - though, you're probably taking a limo, if you're spending this kind of cash... or taking a subway, coz' you're broke) for an event that can be attended for $65. Think of a mark up though:

$65 ticket x 4 = $260
$25 for bottle of Grey Goose at your local liquor store x2=50

Total out of pocket expense = $360...

Sell about 10 VIP tix, you got a cool $7,400 profit. Not bad...

Hey, by all means - no one should be denied fun if they got this kind of dough... At least it beats $250 GA ticket for Tiesto@World that was last year.

I was actually going to say the same thing... I guess it does make sense... you can kick back on a lush couch and have your grey goose while the rest of mofos are looking for a floor spot to sit.

I dig it. Let's put it this way, if they include 'backstage pass' - to hang w/PvD at the stroke of midnight, I just might do it.

i see where you're coming from, and i can understand how, when you have little money to spend something like that is fantasy

however, when you start working and make 6,7 times more money than as a university student, you instantly change your lifestyle. im not earning an awful lot of money at the moment, but it's a lot more than i had at university and consequently my standard has increased. this weekend, for example, i went from london to nottingham to see danny howells at renaissance. i bought an open train ticket to have maximum flexibility and even booked myself a hotel room, something I could have NEVER afforded whilst at university.

if i was earning enough (say at least twice what i am earning now, and realistically more like 3 times), then i wouldnt hesitate to spend that money, since i like PVD, ive seen him a few times and i would be going for the music.

if you can afford it why not? you get people spending thousands of pounds on cars - so why is it so strange that i should spend, say 300 dollars (only about 150 pounds) on a pvd ticket, especially if he is a DJ that I know i will enjoy??

Very well put. Quite honestly if my old lady was up for it and if I could entice 2 more people to "live a little" - I'd definitely include it on my top 3 choices for NYE. I figure for a true affictionados of trance who wouldn't spend their NYE any other way but in a club - this is a good deal. I just think that there's so much more you can do with those extra $$$. I mean my friends were charged $475/bottle of Grey Goose in a local restaurant... So, two bottles at club prices - makes it a good deal. But I wonder how many people spend this kind of money for a bottle in a club? Oh, wait, I forgot... It was me! though I kept paying for it at one shot at a time. Buying rounds for friends... and strangers.... and feeling almost sober for a better part of the night.. that sucked. But it was good times...

So, ok, you convinced me... maybe I'll try talking my old lady into it.

Naaah... who am I kiddin...

You guys are overlooking the fact that this is a New Years Eve gig. It is not uncommon for big NYE parties and events to be high priced, especially those that offer VIP treatment and other amenities.

if you analyze it well its not that bad of a deal. have you tried to get a bottle on a regular night in south beach. 300-500 easy if you dont have hook up and u have too buy 2 usually.

only part that suck is if you have to stand up(if you dont get a booth)

i heard a saying recently that it's much easier to be impressed by a cheap wine, than have an expensive wine come up to standard.

if you pay 15 quid to see pvd and he's shit, it's like "fuck, oh well". if he's good it's like " "

if you pay £200 and he's good, it's like "fucking right"

if you pay £200 and he's shit, you'd be like "MMMM ".

yesh.

if i did have the cash to burn....then fuck it....i'd go

thats almost like a regular night getting a booth in vegas. you have to get 1 bottle for every 3 people and tip the host/server at least $100. so with 4 random people buying the cheapest bottle would run ya $700. Thats just a normal night. Tack on NYE,

w0rd t0 ur m0m.
