Proxi, no need to make fun of her....
She is correct in my eyes.... I went to Europe a couple of months ago - she is simply conveying the stories from what she's heard. I saw for myself - nothing much has seemed to have changed (from the tourist perspective) - they still prefer the local currency everywhere, and a lot of places will accept the euro, but give you change in their local currency....
When i first went over there i was excited about the euro, making everything really easy... but in the end, it just made things worse. I was carrying Euro around with me everywhere, and was getting change in the local currencies everywhere.. so in the end i was carrying an EXTRA currency.
All in all i think its a good idea, but only if they can implement it fully! Still kinda in the training stages now i think, even after 2 years. Again, i dont live over there, and dont claim to keep updated with it, but this has been my experiences from travelling to europe (i go there a lot).
