my dad likes good beer and he's got irish in him, so i got him these for his birthday this year. irish toasting beer mugs that you keep in the freezer.

or if your dad is a grill man and likes to BBQ, get him a monogrammed brander so he can brand his steaks. guys love shit like that. i think i might get it for my dad for xmas.

or if he golfs, get him this little cooler golf bag that clips on to their golf club bag...it holds up to 12 cans and keeps them cold...so he can have cold beer on the course!

all those are under $100

go to www.redenvelope.com

i swear i should be getting paid for this shit, i feel like i'm a marketing rep for the company...lol i love that site though, i get a lot of my gifts for people from there.

Does he work, and what does he do? Maybe try to think of something he does regularly that will ease his daily lifestyle.

My dad uses computer's a lot with his work and at home. So I bought him a thumb drive he can put on a keyring, so he can easily transfer files back and forth.

But it's worth to think of something practical, as dads are generally not very materialistic.

what about a digital camera or a scanner or something? i have gotten gifts like that for my mom or dad.

i dont like giving clothes to family. it's what my mom always gets my dad and grandfathers.

you could get him one of those microbrewery beer subscriptions. those are cool.

you can also always give him a gift certificate to a fancy restarant. though i did that for my parents and they insisted on taking me and my sister with them. it kinda seemed to miss the point.

For about $100 you should be able to jump on the net and buy a weekend at a decent hotel on special or the like.

Your Mum will love a weekend away as much as your Dad, and even staying at a hotel in your home town can be quite romantic, and it gives your parents a chance to spend some quality time relaxing.

I'm a big beleiver that memories mean more than stuff you can hold in your hands, and unless your parents are likely to kill each other if spending enough time in each other's company they will love it.
