Any truth to these rumours? |
I've lived in Texas since February and have enjoyed it. Though I've probably only actually been here about 6 months as I travel so much.
In Texas, the people are friendly, it's cheaper than other places I've lived, life is unstressful.
Your stories sound like they're from way out in the boonies. Every state has it's boonies--try hanging outside Fresno, CA, or anywhere but Vegas or Reno in Nevada.
After 8 days of constant rain in November, I went out of the country for the last 2 weeks. I got back today to...MORE RAIN. WTF???

Like everyone else said, an hour's drive outside the major cities and yes, that is true. But if you visit places in Houston like 3rd Ward, 5th Ward, Acres Homes, neighborhoods like that...better yet go ask the people there

I've lived in 4 different cities in texas. Austin being one of them.
Theres never been an overabundance of gnarled teeth or ugly chicks. In fact its been quite the opposite.
The women have to be some of the hottest on the planet.
I dont know where the Mcdonalds thing came from, and I dont even know how to respond to that.
Rednecks will always be around, but in the larger towns their less abundant.
