Interesting. I found this thread in a search for Zero7 and surprisingly Groove Armada, whom I also enjoy, was here as well. Guess I like TripHop.

What are some of the characteristics you'd use to discribe TripHop? Is Dirty Vegas amoung this genre?

depends on which tracks of theirs you're talking about. I'd say trip hop is a mash between hip hop beats and chillout/ambient, that is just a beautiful mind hypnotizing and emotional trip. :P

anyone ever heard of them? i have a couple of theor CDs (they're about 7 years old though. i'm not sure if its triphop but they're smokey and sweet.
