Hells angels definitely have a long hand here in Toronto.

The triads (asians) are very well known for their spontaneously violent behaviour - the Italians are also well organized here but live outside of the city in other rural area.

I think Torontos most natorious mobsters are the Russians.

They are VERY powerful, VERY dangerous, and VERY crazy when they need to be.

The triads are scared of the Russians, and Hells Angels doesn't make a lot of noise but is well known and feared. They for the most part stick to drug trade and take a 5% "protection" fee from a few area clubs... including the infamous Guvernment Nightclub.

If a russian likes you, they'll give you the world.... but if you fuck them over directly or indirectly - you better watch out to make sure your world doesn't turn to black.

Melbourne has had a long-running gang war over the last few years. It's been splashed all over the front pages of our newspapers since Alphonse Gangitano got popped a few years back. Since then there's been about 25 or so retaliation murders.

Not that I know much about the underworld crime syndicates around here, but there's definately a strong Italian mafia influence in drugs and import scams (based in the inner-north suburbs i think), but we also have a lot of drug dealings within the Asian communities (particularly that of the Vietnamese, or perhaps that's just a stereotype.. i dunno) Regardless, all the money made by the asian drug gangs goes straight back into Crown Casino

I think we have one of the Italian mafia families the town over from us. I'm guessing Genovese or Bonano.

The Itallian Mob in Chicago is nothing like it was, but they do still have some influence. It got ruined in the early 80's. Watch Casino.

As a footnote to my post of about 5-10 days ago reguarding the local crims in my area..turn on the news today and guess what..probably the biggest bank robbery in the british isles ever current estimates are about 33million sterling (about 65 million dollars us)and counting..police describe the raiders as having military like precision..up to 20 people involved so highly organised..prime suspects are the IRA..although the cops wont admit this yet publicly..but the dogs on the street know it was probably the IRA..merry christmas eh..and guess what if it was the IRA they wont get the money back..
