I would say probably so, but I might be talking out of my ass. I do know that the EFX-1000 is due out in the next month or two so if you're considering tacking the 500 onto that very enviable list of equipment you posted you might want to wait on it.

yeah its about the standard, if you can call use of effects standard, although when you hear effects, its often a djm600 mixer
the xone92 has 2 (fucking good) filters, but no other fx.

Will the EFX 1000 be priced around the same, or will it be much more expensive? I'm running pretty much at budget with the list of equipment I'm getting... don't want to KEEP waiting to get my stuff just to save more money.

Get everything but the efx box. It will prob. be priced higher and the 500's will prob drop in price. (just a guess - if you want to know the answer to this, you should know who to contact by now).

The EFX-1000 will cost about $1000.
Right now I can find an EFX-500 for $375 and I imagine that price will drop a lot once the 1000 comes out. The 1000 is basically a beefed up 500 with better sound quality (which isn't going to make that much difference at home).
