thats a lie in itself they always lie...

i have had many a time where i have had to switch it to the counter in order to point it in the right direction. but yeah, usually its close enough to use it for beat effects.

Virtual DJ 1.09 has a very accurate BPM counter (works perfectly for breakbeat tracks and most ambient). They messed with it in v2.xx though, and now it sucks.

How come they can get perfect BPM counters into software, but not into turntables or mixers?...Traktor is on spot

it won't be 100% accurate. they all use the same technique, which is registering the space between peaks over certain dB levels, which is always open to flaws with some music somewhere.
