A DJ is an entertainer before anything else, the fact that they have artistic ability, makes them that much more appealing and seperates them from the rest. There are probably DJs out there that are just as good of entertainers as Tiesto, if not better, but the music that they choose to play is not trance. Trance appeals to a broader audience, its happy uplifting feel is more acceptable then lets say the sound of dark-twitsted-tribly house. The more appealing it is the more hype there is, and unfortunetly for those who started listening to trance from its humble beginings, are now starting to see the scene being flooded with a different crowd and etc. Some of the people who just found out about trance will probably go on to discover other genres as their taste in music matures, and help keep the future scene alive, and others will filter out as trance becomes less popular over time. So i guess all in all, hype is not a bad thing..
