for sheer usability and versatility, i prefer to use the pioneer over the allen & heath, it suits my style more and you can do more with it.

i agree, the build quality and sound quality are not as good as the a&h mixers, but they just work nicererer IMO.

but yeah, there are other mixers about which pan the djm600 to the floor now anyway.

Even if you do find a Urei or Bozak, finding phono cards for the mixers are almost an impossibility, and they are so old, that some might not work well.

But to my knowledge Soundcraft is remaking the Urei and releasing a newer version of it sometime in the future.

To me, the only reason to get a Pioneer would be the need for easy effects. The effects on the Ecler are a little more in-depth and take a bit of getting used to while the A&H don't have effects (other than the LFO or whatever that one thing they have on there).

A&H have VCF filters which are alot more diverse than the lill effects on a DJM.

u'd be surprised parts are not that hard to come by for the UREI...the bozak is a little tougher but still can be gotten pretty easily.

well, no, they are not. you have 3 filters, thats it. granted, they are amazing filters, and completely outclass the filter on the djm mixers, but the djm mixers also have delay, echo, pan, transform, reverb, flange, zip (pitch) + the 600 & 3000 has a sampler. i would say the djm mixers have more diverse effects
