Just be realistic man, a college party is not going to appreciate any EDM except rap. Hate to break it to you but it's the truth.

Throw in some Party Rap like Lil Jon and let him energize the crowd. When it comes down to it, the quality of the music isn't all that's important for party music, its how recognizable it is, and how much energy it has; and for this there is none better than Lil Jon.

Not really true.

Breakbeats and remixes/bootlegs of popular tunes go down well too.

If you know the right music to play, you don't have to resort to Lil Jon to get the crowd going. I DJ'd my fraternity's parties for 3 years and they always requested me to do house / trance sets at the end of the night when the party was the craziest.

The Scratch Perverts did an essential mix awhile back that was a pretty impressive blend of popular hip hop with lots of housy breakbeat stuff.
