One Artist Who Has Let me Down in 2004
Oakenfold @ Amphitheater. Hard to say, cause he is the man who got me into EDM. 1999 and 2000 were magical years for him. He played some storming tracks this night, but his mixing is so bad.......and that hair.......come on Oakey, so much potential.....I love all of his productions and his track selections, but just straighten up when you are spinning live!

Junkie XL/Scott's B-day - 10/31/04 @ Eleven 50, Atlanta. I will never forget this weekend. Surreal to be in a club with everyone wearing nutty costumes (I even saw spongebob- ha!). Afterparty was so ridiculously fun. Always great to be around some of my favorite people .

Ok, I've been out of Atlanta over the past year, so I can't comment on the best club and parties, BUT, I do have a few things to add:

I would like to officially say goodbye to Backstreet, which closed it's doors this year after 27 years of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week of pouring in the Atlanta club scene.Backstreet was my EDM home for many months when I was very lost in life..... For those of you who partied there on more than one occassion, I think you will agree that there was something special about Backstreet...a feeling of freedom and release and just a great place to kickback, get f*cked up and let go....

One person who changed the way I think about EDM:
Tiesto.....showed me just how over the top a DJ can go...To the Olympics and beyond!!!

One person that needs to get a clue:
PVD....sir, you are at a pivotal moment in your career...please return to your former self and reclaim your thrown as the God of trance and SAVE US ALL FROM TIESTO!!!!

Anyway, I look forward to meeting as many of you TAs as humanly possible upon my return in Feb......

The Mirage- Miami, FL-- 3 diffrent rooms, great sound, great lights, and one of the best clubbing nights I've experienced. Derrick Carter and a number of other great DJ's.

Paul van Dyk - He really hasn't done much at all this year. He played a short set in Atlanta about 1 hour 45 minutes. I only caught the last part of his set at Ultra. Nothing exciting from Paul this year. Hopefully he can make up for it in 05.

How ironic. We all signed up for TA because we love trance. After a year of learning, most all the Atlanta TAs and friends have become PA (progaddicts).
