So who cares

so yeah, none of my friends listen to it either. But the best way to get them to atleast appreciate it, is to play it NON-STOP. They might give it a little more respect if they see how much it means to you.

A couple of my friends, everytime we talk they always comment on how much I love my trance, and when they see how much I love it, it opens them up to listen to it more.

They are always trying to press thier hip-hop culture on me. I'm fucking past that! Then I think alot of my friends are younger than me and don't know anything. LOL.

Don't be so desperate. You have a chance, you live in England.
There are so many DJ's and also especially skilled trance producers.

As a french guy, i'd like to say that "trance" is kinda a totally unknown word in France
... but things could be changing... some of my friends (thanks TA for meeting them ) begin to organize some parties with trance in it
... but common people don't even like electronic music in general, and it's hard to change this of course.

Same here.

Any EDM out there is "techno" for people that don't listen to real EDM.

guess this is a pretty normal seat for the common listener.

Again, same here, except for my friends don't enjoy even cheese. :P

Most Rock N' Roll artists flamboyantly do drugs.

The drug aspect of any genre can be compared with EDM, IMO. Rap, Rock, fuck it--even country.

In my opinion, drug use is more vagrant in Rock and Rap then any other genre.

Everything is TRANCE!

For most people I know, every form of EDM they hear gets labeled as Trance, no matter how hard I try to educate them. It's useless!

I have a good friend who was always sick of any kind of music (and i must say, living in Dallas as a kid, so was I) until I discovered the wonders of trance/house/whatever else with some real meaning. The rest of my friends are too closed minded to like music. (they may pretend to like some rap here and some rock there, but I know they know their 'love' fake I swear, even I like rock more than they do. It's so sad, they could be such creative people if they got into any music, but they just keep pretending )

Music in america is all about popularity; go figure

some of my friends like certain uber-cheese tunes, they would'nt call it trance though , for them... it's aaaalllll techno baby YEAH!!!

Although i do have some friends who really know what they are talking about when it comes to EDM in general, they know so much that it creeps me out sometimes...
