a swede wearing the Finnish captain's jersey?? even if he plays for montreal? GO HABS GO!
Concordia has a co-op program too, meaning you study a couple semesters then work a couple semesters. It's a really good experience since you get to apply what you learnt in class in a work-environment or your field.
As for the city overall, people say Montreal is the most "european-flavoured" city in North America after I guess quebec city.. if that's any benefit for you. There's always something going on for nightlife, even in the dead of winter in February, you'll find great places to go out and party. In the summer, every night is a party since it's so nice out. We have a huge jazz festival, comedy festival, international fireworks competition, bars with terraces, clubs, afterhours, tons of restaurants, the f1 grand prix in june, european sized "raves" etc etc.
AND THE CHICKS!! try and find another city in Canada with hotter chicks. It just won't happen!! Toronto? winnipeg? halifax? fuck that! all hicks!! montreal is where it's at.
not that I'm biaised or anything
and I wouldn't worry too too much about the french. McGill is probably made up of 50% bloques from USA and ontario, and they get by just fine with only english... even though we can talk behind their backs at will, but that's another story altogether
