^^^^ Remember Turkey and then Taiwan? I am really scared about this situation because my brother is visiting the wife's family in Japan.

Sudden or quick tectonic plate shifts (couple milimetres can be a big shift in this case) can trigger massive quakes and widespread aftershocks thousands of kilometres away, for years to come, years away. It's hard to explain using my twisted tongue, but I worry in a few months/years another quake is gonna hit a more populated area. Look at the tectonic plate boundaries, next earthquake can strike anywhere (probably nearby): Japan, Oceania, west coast of North/South America, Mid-North-Atlantic, Himalayas, etc.

off the record, we had earthquakes this year one in the north part of poland and 2 in the south, both were small (the largest about 5.2 i think) but then again, we have them like ...fucking ...never ? its exremely rare here, coz its not geologicly (?) active region at all. I sense the end is near...

experts have developed a way to predict the location of a future earthquake, based on previous ones. they always seem to follow a certain trajectory along fractal structures. the experts are unable to tell when a quake will take place, though.

speaking of populated areas, it is expected that the area of Istanbul will be hit by a big one. but as i said, no-one knows when it's going to happen.

Great song - though impoverished 3rd world countries were probably not the intended target of Maynard's discontent.

This is so fucking sad. Anyone remember that Earthquake in Turkey a few years ago that killed 45,000 people? Christ - 45,000 unexpectedly die in a matter of minutes in another country, but when 5,000 die in a terrorist attack, the entire fucking country decides that it's worthy of a bumper-sticker empire. I wonder just what the measure of a single human life is to people anymore.

it wasn't my intention to bash indonesia, india and other countries that suffered from this tragedy, it was more like a statement on whole humanity
