as i'm a student i don't have much money, but i donated half of the money i got for christmas!
I think in all its tragedy it's good to see nearly all people on this planet unite!
I hope my money will help lots of people! and i hope my government will make a huge donation too! because we wealthy states agreed not long ago to give 0,7% of the gross domestic product to underdeveloped country...never happend...i hope they now can make up for this never happend promise!
i don't lost anyone related to me in any form but i also cried couple of times over the last few days...such a tragedy!

There is going to be an event held in Toronto to raise funds for this cause - some of Toronto's most recognized DJs and promoters are on board. Please support this event if you can - info will be posted as soon as the details are confirmed.

Quite similar over here...
Singapore's main arts centre Esplanade said its New Year's Eve performance would now be a remembrance service for the hundreds of thousands killed by the waves spawned by the magnitude 9.0 quake in the seabed off Sumatra's western coast.
A minute's silence will be held at midnight instead of the traditional raucous countdown in the final seconds of the year, and donations will be collected from the audience for Red Cross relief operations, Esplanade Theatres On The Bay said.
A giant firework display has been cancelled.
"This year, in light of the tragedy unfolding around us, it would be more appropriate to usher in the new year in a more contemplative manner,'' the Esplanade said.
"The fireworks planned are best reserved for some other, more appropriate occasion in the future.''

It's so hard to imagine experiencing something like this.... Whenever I see the images or hear the numbers, I feel so helpless and I can't help but ask myself, why, why is it there and not here...it happens in a place where people already have nothing...no health insurance, no property insurance, no credit cards...
I'v been to that area of the world and the people are so down to earth and so warm and then something like this happens....
Donating helps me feel a connection because any piece of monetary currency might be one that literally saves a life........
remember that
