At this price range, have you considered the EMU 1820m? Worth a look!

thats the sound of my virus fucking up pretty bad cuz my 1010 doesnt keep midi clock so good. i dont know why. i contacted m-audio twice about this but they fobbed me off both times.

either way, m-audio's ASIO drivers are far and away better than creative audigys for producing. although i would consider other budget soundcards from say edirol. its at least worth checking into rather than finding yourself running into problems a year down the line when you need it to do something and it fucks up.

You're not the only one, my 1010 ASIO drivers give me headaches sometimes...but since I don't produce a lot, I haven't had the urge of troubleshooting it.

Just took a look at the Delta's specs. The break out box is nice, but for the price, it looks like the EMU 0404 would beat it in performance. The SNR on the Delta is 103 while 0404m has an SNR (A-weighted): 111dB.

If you have a MAC, then the Delta's your best choice. Otherwise..
Take a gander...The on-board effects make it an interesting choice. Anyone disagree?

get m-audio. i hope asio for creative is not locked to 48 khz like it was on audigy 1, but i am not too sure ..... m-audio has better software and drivers, 44.1, 48 and 96k asio, and better converters. what more reason do you need?
