Only because spending the time to read isn't something fun to begin with and to get anything to work in linux one must read.
Linux producing works.

Like i said, it was only experimentation...I never got around to bringing the cd to my apartment. Well i did, but the wrong format, its a bitch to install packages for debian when you don't have the internet, anyway i'm dual-booting windows and linux now, and i have flstudio 5, but i'm still looking for linux solutions, just because i like the os better, and open source rules...thanks for your help though guys...will try out rose garden and tell you whats up.

By the way, i think VST support is available for that one, though i'm not sure how that could work in linux.

accutally linux is trying to be like unix.... but off course ive doubt youve ever done anything besides in x windows... hell ive doubt youve ever installed linux prior to 1999..... kde and gnome are merely a gui interface... microsoft didnt creat the gui interface. and trust me unix has be around alot longer then windows...

Most articles I hear about Linux production just say to install FL or something similar under WINE or another Windows emulator

I don't really think they're copying the windows interface entirely, they still give you the choice between GNOME and the K Desktop and stuff which are tradionally Linux. But I think they're making it a more user friendly enviroment so they can compete in the big market. How many teenager do you know that want to use a command line interface?

I think the xwindow and the command line combination is the best part.
