I think it also depends on what you're into. For the harder stuff I think Sydney and particularly Brisbane is better.

dont know anything about the scene in brisbane, but i dont think it challenges melbs status.

on the other hand, djs like nervous, yoshi, jj, savage n ferris do give syd a bit of an edge
