Does anybody know if 123 dj is a jip or not? Anybody every bought from them. They're rumored to be notorious. Plus their site layout flat out sucks. My lil' sister could make a more organized/better looking site than that crap.

The layout on that site isn't THAT bad, although I agree it could be much better..

by the way, the pics in your signature aren't working.

Yeah I know...the sigs turn on and off at random moments for some reason, I can't figure out why.

I suggest either Denons or Stanton STR-880. The Denons are more expensive but put out 2.2 kg of torque, compare that to Technics 1.5 and Vestax 2.0. The Stanton are cheaper but put out less torque 1.5 kg. You can buy the Stantons for as low as $220-$250(520 sk cartridge included) and the Denons for as low as $330-$350.

Go to shop.yahoo.com to get the cheapest prices!

I live in Chicago and i'm going check out the place. Sometimes a bad site is a good sign that they keep everything, I mean everything cheap. At least that's my experience with computer parts. I'll put something up here after I visit in person.

I have to agree with the thing about saving up for the Technics. Don't bother buying some useless pieces of crap and say, "oh, I'll just use these until I have saved up enough for Technics". Because, you will not save up enough for Technics. Once you have decks, no matter how shite, you'll be spending all of your money on vinyl. You will never have enough for techs!

I was lucky, because I started uni and got a student loan. That's the only reason I could afford Technics when I had crappy turntables!

I have spoken with the guys at www.123dj.com before and although their not very friendly on the phone, i would not hesitate to buy from them(I haven't yet because they dont ship USPS). Their prices are UNBEATABLE, and even if by some freak chance you find it cheaper elsewhere, they will match the price. They run a huge music store in Chicago called MiniMax Electronics(or something like that) and only the website is called 123DJ. Well, anyway, thats my limited experience with them.
Happy Shopping!

Kev
