the decks own in the corner.. the picture above this thread has a nice shape for the dj booth table.

and you should have a mini room for the bitches, to chill with your friends watch tv etc etc

but, the mini room booth sounds great you ll have the booth and behind you the tables and stuff for the vinyls (if you have alot of vinyls it will be soooo cool) a little freege maybe lol.

id stick with the mini room and booth @ the corner tho

and if there are no big windows and you smoke.. get the clean-the-air thingy... i know, i got a basement like 120 m\2 (but i dont have the money to make it good ;( )

Well this thread reminded me of my garage..

Though i have a feeling your basement is twice the size of my little garage

The pic below is an old pic i've changed it around quite a bit at this stage but it gives you a good idea. A nice thing about the place is it's seperate to my house and there's no one really around so we can play the music pretty loud.. Dunno where i'm going to put my decks though

I'm not saying dont get a fog machine. But be wary that too much fog is uncalled for. Maybe the fog machine that was at the last show I was at was an industrial one, and for the amount of space and ventilation, the amount of fog was WAY too much. As I said in a previous post, I couldn't see the person standing next to me, literally.

I guess if you had 3 of those cheap ones then it wouldn't be a problem.

this is how i'd do it. keep it simple.

obviously not drawn to scale. that TV/couch area can be chillout lounge type area during parties/video game area. 4 decent speakers positioned as such should be enough. bar near the DJ booth, so you can call for a drink easily. whatever lights/fog you get, you can probably strategically set up. you'd also need to consider a monitor for the DJ booth.

I like Inertia's idea alot.

He's got a good set up, not sure about the size of the dancefloor and whether your mates will all get up and dance all the time... Or maybe you'll be using the room more for chilling out, in which case i'd be tempted to bet more seats into the basement.

However the layout is spot on. Speakers are positioned well to even allow people watching tv or just sitting down to listen to it as well.

Another thing that i usually like is a seperation from the 'tv room' and the other 'dance floor room' As this way people could either chill out or get jiggy.. The way it's set up wouldn't really allow this but again it's a tiny thing on a nearly perfect layout.. (again IMO)

The other's are also good but the one from Inertia really sets it off i guess.

ps. In reply to spike_boy69, on the second picture above you can see a banister (spelling?) there are stairs there leading downstairs to where the cars are parked. Here's a bad picture of the garage from the ouside.
