I have to give it to the EFX 500 as it has supperior handling and as Tu_Face said the ability to duplicate what you have done previously.

(I have a Kaos Pad 1 and have to say that the sound quality on that is wanky beyond belief and the effects are rather unimaginative variations of one another. And before you mention it, yes I know we were not talking about this one but thought I'd mention it anyways).

Cheers
Nem

it sounds better having it just on the master signal, if you are creative enough with it, it sounds just as good. althouhg obviously there are limitations..

ouyt of the 2 effects units, i went for the efx500. mainly because its easy to control, and you can duplicate things you have done previously much easier. granted the kp2 has lots of effects, but they are all mainly variations, and you can get a lot of different sounds from an efx500 by combining 2 effects because the thing is basically 2 effects units in 1 box.

if you have it on the master signal, you cant really use it to its full potential though can you? I mean you cant do the trans scratch, and echo loops tricks quite the same way...

Damn it, this pcv275 hasnt been working out as nicely as I had hoped for. Having to have it get repaired out of the box, and finding out how poor its send/recieve is.

My PCV275 served me very well for over 2 years, definitely looking forward to my X1500 though.

Even though I am ditching my 275 I am still impressed by it, despite it's shortcoming in the send/receive department. For a rather low price it's an excellent 3 channel mixer, with superb build quality. And with them selling new now for around 250 I hear, I can't think of a better mixer for anyone on a budget, or just doesn't want to drop big money on a mixer.

Props to the 275 for never letting me down

true you can't, but at least it sounds good as opposed to sounding shite

sounds like your problem was a one off with the crackling, its one of the most solid mixers i have ever touched. mine is still as good as the day i bouhgt it

i did mention the send/recieve issues to you
