its not taboo to mention religion in canadian schools. it is taboo to only mention one kind of religion and not others. it is also taboo to force ones own religion on others, especially young and impressionable children. following the Muslim and Jewish society vs. Sudbury Board of Education (1994???)case it was ruled that each and every religion had to be shown equally. the CTF (canadian teachers federation) have established their own rules by which teachers much follow. considering all our teachers are union, then she must have broken a union rule in order to get fired
