Are you sure its not an M3D? MK3s have a center click, no reset button and were released in Japan not the US.

i was always under the impression the mk3 was the first quartzlocked technics deck.. but then again you could be right.
if it wasnt quartzlocked, what exactly was the difference?

I have one mk3 and one m3d, and they are both exactly the same (minus the text on the top), and both have the "m3d" feature set (no notch/onoff/etc). I can take pictures later perhaps, but just take my word for it

I love the MK3 / M3D debate and the 1200 / 1210 debate. It's awesome. People always say they own the 1210 or the MK3 and they argue with other people who own the 1210 or MK3. It's like an unsolved mystery....

lol this is funny..
Just to put pen to paper now.
1200- silver
1210- black
mk2- has a notch at 0% on the pitch fader + The on/off button is raised.
mk3D- Hasn't got a notch at 0%pitch fade + On/off button is sunk.
mk3- Reported to have either a notch or no notch , same with the on/off button!
Discuss..

the only thing i know for sure is that the M3D and MK3 are not the same. Why? I don't know. The M3D has a sunk power switch and no 0-click. I own 2 of them so I know that much. As for anything else - its all greek mythology.
