you're probably only listening to one form of trance [uplifting most likely]. Try out some psy-trance, or prog-trance, or download some trance sets for the mid-late 90's. It any of them floats your boat then look into the DJs playing them and expand your EDM choices.

All tecno sounds homogenous to me but do you hear me whinging about why all the techno dj's play the same tracks? Nup.

The beautiful thing about humans is we all have differnt tastes, and how much we get into a particular style determines how well we can differentiate between tracks and therefore between the various (and there are farking plenty) different varieties of uplifting trance.

You just don't pay enough attention to be able to differentiate so you categorise them all as one type of sound. That's just such a broad generalisation- why waste your breath?

The bonus of there being so much music that fits within the broad genre that is trance, is that there is ample variety for a dj to develop his/her own signature style (or combination of styles as it were?!?).
