I didnt read the post that guy wrote ..I just saw ZOmbie Nation and classified all of them as techno cos I didnt have the time to write an ellaborate post..Sorry for it.
But be a bit more subtle in your critisism nex time..I dont think you are getting you message across to me by making such blunt statements.

MANY people refer to the whole electronic/dance genre as techno. dunno why. Sometimes people confuse me with saying techno instead of saying the real genre name.

And the sad fact is that people just have a set idea that techno is, as DuMonde TrAnCeR, said Happy Hardcore in disguise. This disinformation also manifests it's self in another form. I bet we have all been in the situation where your with your mates and an ad for "Best dance hits in the world ever...vol 129 - Featuring Ian Van Dahl, 666, ATB and other assorted Cheese" comes on and all your mates automatically assume that because your into dance music you want that album.

gosh you guys bash tracks so much, just because they have been overplayed, i bet the first time you heard it (sandstorm) you wnet crazy or something, i personally didnt like that tune when i heard it, but i know lots of people went crazy over it, and now you just bash it because it is the cool thing to do, just like the djs these days, they are only doing progressive trance and little uplifting becasue they are worried about what someone will say, back in like 98 or 99, everyone spun uplifting and shit

they got overplayed for a reason, because they are good.

I didnt like Darude at at any given point...or even KErnkraft...Silence(Tiesto/Airscape/Oakenfold ix) on the other hand..I love it and I am sure most other guys do.
Regarding exposure to trance...one retarded statement or the amount of posts I have posted bear no reflection of what I know .
As it has been said earlier ..classification of songs under genres could be something on a more personal level..since it differs with everyone' s tastes.

come to detroit and you will be assaulted with techno! kevin saunderson, juan atkins, mistress barbara, among many, many others. its just another form of electronic music more akin to industrial house music than trance. very little melody, if any, banging beats and little if any variation over a track. apparently people cant get enough of it here(detroit) but i certainly can after just several hours. there are other TAs that could tell you more about it tho, cause they dig it and therefore could give you a better definition prolly...late/

ok im gonna offend the fuck through everyone but whats wrong with kernkraft i hated it at first but its a bit of an anthem...
and as for darude... well i just got my ps yesterday and i was driving fast along the coast when 'out of control' came on the radio needless to say i shook my head several times, but you gotta give respect where its due and sandstorm brought people to this kind of music if it wasnt politically (in the trance sense of it) correct. and hey i enjoyed the song a fair bit too at first (AT FIRST )
