I have a VMX-300 and it's done me great. But then again, I've never used anything nicer, so I have nothing to judge it against. The sound quality is good enough, it sounds just as good as the sound my sound card pumps out. The kill switchs are nice, although I don't think I've used them more than a few times. One problem I've been having with it, though, is sometimes the left channel of audio from the 2nd imput on the mixer will cut out. I'm not sure if it's the mixer though, cause when I turn the turntable off and right back on, it fixes. I know it's it not the needles cause I switched them and it still happens. Anywho, for the price, the VMX-300 is a good mixer. Just don't expect too much, and the reliability of Behringer is questionable. If you're just starting out, I say go for it.
