actually thats the part that throws me off.

do i hit f2 at boot up? is that how i get into the bios?

When you start your comp up it'll tell you at the very start. Before winows starts. Just have a look about for the option.

So now when i try and install the drivers, my computer tells me it does not recognize a soundbalaster audio card on my computer.

talk about driving me fucking nuts.

all i want to fucking do is record so i know what an ass i am going to sound like when i play live in 2 months.

even the simplest task has become a fucking project.

got it to work. i just uninstalled and reinstalled everything. i dont know how or why it works now but all i know is it does.
