Grabbed a bag and such for it today. Not sure what kind of battery life this thing has so fi anyone knows plz inform me!! Clovis: You have a DRebel? I was trying to set the beast up to capture RAWs but seems the option isnt on the menu, any ideas?

I have an older D30...which has more manual controls than a Dreb but less Megapixels... (only 4)

I know they use the same batteries...and if you want me to bring some I'm down. Also...i can show you how to set it to RAW

How big is your flash card though? RAW takes up massive space

1gb =]. I dont go skimpy when it comes to space. Especially since im a fairly novice photographer. I want to be able to try a lot of stuff and figure out what works and what doesnt without having to sit down in the middle of the show and delete pics. On Large-Low Compression i can take about 286 pics. That should be enough hehe. Thats why Im tempted to try out RAW for the sheer photo quality that I can knock down to jpg's with PhotoshopCS (only version with RAW support if i remeber correctly).

Yeah everyone was telling me "Just save up a bit more and get a 10d or 20D." Frankly though, im happy with the camera considering where I am right now. Someday i will have an Olympus E1 or a 20D =]. About the batteries though, if you were bringing them anyways thats cool, but I figure that when I run out of juice it means I havent done enough dancing yet =].

My cousins boyfriend is a student photographer and he bought one of those. Maybe I should steal it from him if they break up.
