If you want synths to sounds better in Reason, add Scream 4, and then Choose the setting "MasterCompression" Then EQ the synth some more with Scream 4. (There's a little equalizer there) Also, add "Kick Bomb"-Reverb to it to make it sound fat. And now, the most important thing. Delay. Add 4 normal delay-boxes to the synth. Then set them to these settings:

DelayBox---Step---Feedback--Pan---Dry/Wet
1----------1------10--------L-----20
2----------2------10--------R-----20
3----------3------10--------L-----16
4----------4------10--------R-----16

This should spice up the synth a bit

Another tip to get the sound clean in Reason: Always turn all the high-freq-knobs on the main mixer to around 30. And hey, as Foyle said, it's all about trying to speard frequenzies all over the soundspectre, and don't have lots of things playing at the same frqequenzie. And finally, it all comes down to the quality of the sound you're using. And there I have to agree that Cubase and FL deliver much cleaner sounds!!

meh, if your a good producer u can use anything to get a good sound

Yup. You just have to use the sounds right And EQ them good. EQ-ing is everything. You can get a lousy synth to sound fat!! A tip to get a fat synth sound: Use three different synths.
Settings:
Synth1 = Thin synth. EQ away some of the bass. Add the delay-thing I described. + Kick Bomb reverb
Synth2 = Mellow synth. Not too screamy. Add Unison to it, and set both the knobs so they point strait up. Add FilmScore Delay.
Synth3 = Deep synth. To get some depth in everything.

Then play all these synths together

Be Cool!

Wow guys! This is some great advice! I'm trying out all of this and playing with your ideas. I think that maybe I should continue using reason and squeeze all that I can out of it, rather than do the whole NEWPC+SOFTWARE+VSTS+SOUNDCARD. Thanks again for your advice, and keep it coming! Maybe this wuold be a good post for people to show off tutorials that they've made? Dunno.. I'll let you guys decide! I only wish I had found out about a community like this YEARS ago.
