guy gives granddaughter too much attention and shitload of money. granddaugter is too stupid to know what to do with all of it. She spends like a crazy mother ******, starts all sorts of drugs with her friends. Her friend dies of drug O.D. She gets raped by media and is hated by the town. AFter she goes missing, she is found in a river dead. Grandfather is very sad.

Money destroyed their family.

Fuct up. I don't know how I woul handle $100 mil. Thats a whole lotta money. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he only got 114 mil from a 314 mil prize money? So thats 200 mil tax? Damn.

I'm glad the jackpots over here are taxfree then. But then again we don't have 300 mil payouts.

Actually money didn't destroy their family, the stupidity of the granddaughter did. I would have just bought me a nice house and car, put the rest of the money on the bank and live from the intrests.
Let's say you have 70 million left at about 2.5% = 1750000 per year = 150000 per month. I could live with that

The grandpa wasn't so smart either...
He was the one flashing his $$$ around, thinking he could buy everyone in his site. Offered $ to ('non-working') women for sex, often very rudely in front of their husbands, thinking he could buy them off. Spent many a night out at strip clubs, away from the wife. Literally acted like he had more $ than G-d, and thought he could get away w/all sorts of bad behavior as a result.

He also had a bad habit of getting caught drunk & passed out behind the wheel of his car-du-jour by the cops.

Also, b4 the granddaughter died, her x-boyfriend also turns up dead from an OD at her place, long after he split from her to get away and get his life back in order. A strange robbery occured in the home ('w/the girls permission'?) around the same time.

Like I said, many straaaaange circumstances, and worth the lengthy read.

The only person I feel bad for is the waitress he gave some earnings to ($44,000, a house & a new car), and people in the town were approaching HER for handouts, and claiming she money 'had changed' HER.

To me, the townsfolk are just as equally guilty for letting money go to their heads.

Well, he took the lump sum, if he took it over a long period of time, he would have gotten more. They take a bunch out when you want it all at once.
