Thanks for all the feedback!

I'll look into everything you all said and maybe I'll find some more stuff I like.

cool thing about EDM is that all each diff sub-genre has tracks like no other

one of my fav attributes to EDM is that just about all of it is and can be mixed on turntables which make the turntable an instrument for a very wide range of different music

if you're interrested, suggest sampling tracks from other sub genres of EDM

- House is pretty cool, alittle slower in general than trance, very clubby and lots of fun

-Drum n'Bass(DnB)/Jungle is an entirely different world, personally i dont really like any dnb with an MC rapping over it unless it sounds good, usually it sounds like a bunch of gibberish, there are alot of tracks without vocals however that are pretty impressive IMO - the main diff between dnb and other stuff like trance and house is that DnB can be really DARK, if you listen to any dnb you NEED a subwoofer to get the full effect of the bass, without the heavy bass its really hard to get a feel for the music

My DnB Artist reccomendations -
Teebee
Future Prophecies
Purple Unit
Concord Dawn
DJ Hive
Rubix
Dieselboy
Ak1200
Evol Intent
Resonant Evil
just to name a few - definately check out Teebee - Invasion and Black Rain, smooth, hard, deep, trippy... also Future Prophecies Vs. Teebee - Dimensional Entity

Trance Artist recomendations -
Armin van buren
Tiesto
Paul van dyk
George Acosta
Push
Solar Stone
Mauro Picotto

keep in mind there are always tracks in a genre that wont appeal to you very much and then there are quite a few that will take your breath away

Mauro Picotto is actually more Techno, only the hits were Trance or either Trance-remade. (For example: Like This Like That, was originally Techno)

Back to Cali & Komodo are pretty trancy, even if its not exactly "Trance" it doesnt need to be... my gf says i need to expand my horizons or something cus according to her all i listen to is techno
which i find to be an absurd statement b/c i like all sorts of music-

Trance(almost any and all forms)
DnB(especially the dark stuff)
House
Trip hop
breaks
techno
gabba
hardcore/hardstyle
jazz
old school stuff like the beatles, pink floyd, rush, van halen
......

even though recently all ive rocked is trance and dnb

just wonderin Typoed - what styles peak your interest most?

hard
soft
fast
slow
melodic
progessive
epic
tech

check out some psytrance also - Astrix, Infected Mushroom cant think of any others off the top of my head but its pretty cool if you have a spot for long drawn out stuff

I think I like melodic, progressive, epic. Really anything that has a definite melody and conveys emotion. I'm not too much into (but still enjoy) the repetitive stuff with lots of just beats and what not..
Maybe thats cause I haven't tried listening to this stuff for dancing.

As far as psytrance, I've listened to some and I usually really like it, though it can sometimes bore me if its tooo drawn out.
I really like Experimental Dose (Safi Connection)

I am the creator and this is my house and in my house there is only house music. But I am not so selfish because once you enter my house it then becomes our house and our house music and you see no one man owns house because house music is a universal language spoke and understood by all. You see, house is a feeling that no one can understand really unless you're deep into the vibe of house. House is an uncontrollable desire to jack your body and as I told you before this is our house and our house music. In every house you understand, there is a keeper and in this house the keeper is Jack.

What she really means is that you need to start listening to proper music like Nelly, JT and Britney Spears!

wasn't Like This Like That a shitty trance ripoff of another trance track, Armin's Blue Fear?
