how much is that bitch gonna cost? If it's considerably less than teh cdj 800 they'll have pretty much taken over the cdj market.

thnx for the info DannyO. Looks nice in the pic, looks like a decent upgrade to the CDJ100. Would be interested to know what they'll end up selling for... though I imagine it'll prolly be worth the little extra for a CDJ800 which can be had for about 500 USD easily.

I've seen the CDJ-800s on etronics.com for $495 and $489 on 123prosound.com and $485 on tvcity.tv.

$474 is a steal!

I don't know about financing, but your best bet is to hit up Sam Ash or Guitar Center when they're having their special weekends....which is like once a month. They always have "same as cash deals" where you can defer payments, no interest for 15 months, even longer in some cases. I applied for a card soley to pick up a pair of monitors I couldn't afford and I pay like %40 here and there and its almost paid off.

I had to make basically the same decision not too long ago, went with the CDJ 800's, couldn't be happier.

I highly recommend staying away from financing/charging anything unless you're making enough cash to pay it off rather quickly... but that's just me speaking as a person who just finished paying off all his credit cards...

The CDJ1000's are nice, have some real nice features that I do wish the 800's have, but for me, it was all about being able to decide whether or not I was actually going to plunge forward with this digital DJ thing, as opposed to replacing one of my Tech 12's after I broke one of my old ones.

I still think I'll be replacing my old Tech 12 with one of the new M5G's, but for what it's worth, I'm addicted to my CDJ800's... I can do things with these things live that there just wasn't even a possibility of trying with vinyl... and that's me just being impressed with the 800's!

Remember that song "Make new friends, but keep the old..."

It's kinda like that.

Cheers,

RJT
