Well Im a Ukrainian and I can say from my experience nobody in Ukraine is against those symbols at all. In fact, they sell clothes with CCCP decals, and the hammer and sickle, Lenin's mug on it, I actually bought some reprint communist propaganda posters for my rooom on my last stay there. One has a picture of Stalin hugging a bunch of kids and the caption reads "Thank you Uncle Stalin for a wonderful childhood"

This is competeley ridiculous to suggest the hammer and sickle should be banned. The hammer and sickle is the international symbol of communism, not Communism. And I love the way that a great deal of people in these ex-USSR countries wish they still were in the USSR!
