The Howard Stern show is 100 times better than this Desperate Housewife show and way more entertaining!!

What the fuck is up with Sex In The City being on at like 7pm when kids are still up and watching tv? For fucks sake they talk about three somes and licking ass and shit and this is what the next generation of Canadian kids are going to be learning and growing up on as if our society isn't fucked up enough as it is

Good analogy. As for the marriage, one day it will become obsolete ... there will be a different alternative to marriages. Do your own math/conclusions, and you'll see what I mean.

See this is what this stuff has done to our society where we have people like Magnetonium saying stuff like this and believing that marriage will become obsolete.

This is a society where the divorce rate is between 50-60% which has large number of kids growing up without their fathers around, aids is spreading like Paris Hilton's legs and where 8 and 9 year olds are watching shows like Sex In The City and Desperate Housewives during prime time hours and looking up to chicks like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera as role models

Didn't you just desperately dump your gf in a nasty way for another desperate housewife?

do you even know why marriage exists? it's more about property/$ than love. marriage basically exists b/c men wanted to pass down property to their own flesh and blood, prior to the western notion of owning property, monogomy wasn't such a big deal. When the Europeans came to north america they noticed there wasn't a whole lot of monogomy among the natives b/c natives lived as groups and shared the respinsibility of taking care of the young members of the tribe, it was a much more communal and loving environment than in european families where children were treated as mini-adults. (in time european families became more affectionate w/ their children thank goodness. A move toward less marriage is not necessarily a bad or devolved thing.

Agreed marriage is NOT about love. It has always been about finances. Two people who love each other dont need marriage to justify it.

regardless, the show is basically a night soap, which is all about scandal etc. ppl have been cheating on eachother long before this show hit the air, so i don't think it's teaching anyone to cheat. it's just entertaining fluff.

Well said.

God knows there are enough shows with women played as the victims of cheating hubbies out there! Switch it up a little already!

Come on now most kids grow up without a dad due to divorce or their dad humping and then dumping some chick and running away as soon as they hear the word pregnant and then you have kids who don't even know who their dads are and you people have no problem with a whole generation coming up like that and the one following with the kids who are being conceived now at days coming up which will be even more screwed up then the current generation and upcoming one as well.

Society is already screwed up and the next generation will be even worse and the one after that even worse so people having more sex sounds all good and shit but really isn't as good as it sounds when you look at the aftermath of it all and you have the whole aids academic to deal with as well which keeps getting worse and worse.I heard a stat saying that one in every four African American males has aids in the States.

In that movie The Grudge you had a chick who was married and had a kid and was in love with some other guy and yet the guy was painted as such a bad guy when his wife was in love with some other guy when she was still married to him. If she didn't love her husband then she should have gotten a divorce plain and simple.
