I've got my pair of whitelables for less than what you paid for your trackmasters. And IMO, they beat the living shit out of every stanton cart i've owned/used. check them out at www.agiprodj.com a good place w/ great prices and customer support.

The only bad thing you'll have to deal with: many places won't take back opened cartridges, so you may be stuck with them.

Actually the Loft in NY used Koetsu cartridges...

looky:

quote:
The finishing touch to the set up is the near mythical Koetsu record player cartridges, so delicate and precise you can't back cue with them. 'They're made by a painter and audio enthusiast in Japan and when I did a tour in Japan, I met him, he was ninety eight years old. He's a legend. He also makes Samurai swords and Koetsu was the name of his teacher. He went from the sword to the stylus!' chuckles David. David also uses metal weights on top of his records when they're playing to minimise vibrations which could, otherwise, be fed back into the stylus. Such is their effectiveness that you could, theoretically, put the record player, whilst in use, into the horns of the speakers and it wouldn't feed back. If all this sounds extreme, everyone who's attended the parties always remember the quality of the sound. One such Lofty, as regulars became known, is DJ and producer François Kevorkian:
